COME TO MUSICFACE TOMORROW NIGHT!?

Sunday, October 8th: We start at 7:30PM at Fairport Village Coffee, and we'll be playing for two hours. Come for listening and enjoying purposes, and drinking coffee purposes. Tipping purposes? Well, hopefully. The money from our next few shows will go to the American Diabetes Association, because we love Mr. Dane, and because everyone loves a good cause.

Greetings from North Carolina! The ocean is quite lovely. Maybe I'll post a picture when I get back.**

Last night I dreamt that I saved my summer crew coach's life. For some reason, we were downhill skiing together, and he ended up in a frozen lake. I had to drag him out and give him CPR. Scary stuff.

**Empty promise.

It was a great night. And now school is almost over! Ten class days or something? Nice, very nice. I'm looking forward to a productive summer. I might even earn the privilege of working beside Zach Henzel at Wegman's.

I'm in Ireland! :)

The vacation has consisted of driving around in our rental car and eating the nation's fine cuisine. My five-year-old cousin Daniel, unfortunately, broke his leg trying to climb a fence. But overall the trip has been great. We spent most of our time in Carlingford, near Northern Ireland's border, but now we're back in Dublin and soon I will be shoe shopping.

I hope everyone is enjoying the break.

Me (fishing about in my pockets, and addressing myself): Let's see, do I have any money?
Mr. Whitman: Anna, do you need money?
Me: No, it's all right, I have some... would you have given me money if I'd asked?
Mr. Whitman: Oh yeah, I have tons of money.

*laughter, then a pause*

Mr. Whitman: Seriously. I don't measure my money in dollars, I measure it in tonnage.

This took much longer than it should have. And I didn't realize I could use song lyrics, so they're all titles. )

Oh man, I just had the best four-cheese lean pocket everrr. It was so good that I had to add "four-cheese lean pockets" to the Interests on my info page. Shocking, doesn't anyone share such an Interest?

Tonight was great. I never thought I was particularly fond of boy bands, but somehow we all seem to learn the choruses to N*SYNC and Backstreet Boy singles... their lyrics being simply unforgettable. It's hard to avoid them, I suppose (not a complaint, really). I found out that Mr. Dane has an excellent bedroom. It's very clean and furnished beautifully with a big TV slash bed, a "Cats" poster, and other things of that nature. He also has like seven thousand hats! None of which he wears! That's okay, though. He wouldn't be Mr. Dane if he wore anything but the Red Sox one.

I'm re-doing my own room. Maybe I'll post a picture or two when it's done. (But probably not.)

Hey, my last update was exactly one month ago. Well that is cool, time for bed. :)

[ music | Mr. E's Beautiful Blues + the Eels ]

After a couple hundred School Island review questions, I have concluded that judicial review is simply the center of the universe. And that Hamilton should have shot back. Yet the past is the past, no point in wishing it could change. (Silly Alex!)

The other day I saw Mr. Whitman AND Mr. Sherbinsky at the same Don's Original. They weren't meeting, they just happened to be there at the same time, enjoying their respective orders of onion rings. Looking at Mr. Whitman across the room made me think of physics throughout the meal, stuff like why the ketchup doesn't come out of those glass bottles unless you hit them the correct way. That has to with physics, right? Upward... vector suction forces? Times pi cubed? Yeah going to fail the midterm and such.

So, midterms Tuesday / Thursday, then SAT on Saturday. This week is chock-full of academic joys, I am looking forward to it to the fullest extent of my sarcasm. Although it won't be all that bad. Nearly half the year is complete, what's not to like?

Buy a Musicface CD if you haven't!!! Also buy Cornbread Nation by Tim O'Brien, it is the finest in cornbread-based bluegrass music.

Well that's a pity. Here's my life story. [05 Nov 2005|02:11am]
[ mood | indescribable ]

Well tonight (this morning, really) I am updating from Carly's house. I have a lot of shit to do tomorrow, so I should probably be getting to sleep, but I'm not all that tired. Just sort of mellow, kind of in a weird mood, I can't describe it though. Carly is sleeping on the couch and TJ is arbitrarily playing some chords and Fresh Prince is on in the background but I don't think anybody is watching. I'm wearing some of Carly's clothes. Recently we were all at the On The Razzle cast party. I have no idea how we got invited, but we were definitely there and for the most part having a good time. Actually, to be frank, I didn't feel I fit in at all. But I wasn't about to bring down anyone else's night, so I sat around eating those mini cupcakes, laughing at Tom Clarke-Hazlett's insanity and once I contributed marginally in a Musicfac'capella performance of The Mr. Dane Song. Overall I suppose I'm glad I attended the little shindig, it was better than sitting at home.

Halloween was enjoyable. A bunch of us went trick-or-treating for about thirty minutes. Fussy was a strawberry, Patrick was a cow, TJ was a guy in a hat, Gustav wore lipstick, Mr. Dane dressed as he does every Halloween, and Carly and I were dead nuns. We passed by Matt's party and I decided to stay. I sat with Steve, the fire kept me warm, and Matt lit some fireworks, one of which went haywire and I admit it scared me. Shaflansky (Shablansky) let me listen to Golddigga on his nano. Eventually I returned to Carly's and we watched some stupid thing on TV, then I'm pretty sure I went home.

Bright Eyes is a stone's throw away. So is Musicface's Don's Original and Fairport Village Coffee shows, and so is Thanksgiving. November is going to be an exciting month. But it'll be over in a blink, just like October was, and summer, and everything.

All right now they're both asleep. TJ is on the floor though, his head on a sleeping bag, and a new episode of Fresh Prince is starting. It must be a marathon or something. I don't really like this show at all. Canned laughter annoys me. Well whatever, that doesn't matter. I'm going to end this, though I'm still not tired. I trust that I'll find something to do.

Goooodnight.

Basically, I have all the answers.

Again, please click here.

This long weekend is going to be busy. Soccer game then hockey game (what?) tomorrow, rehearsal and a possible bowling excursion on Saturday, Hawks practice and a show on Sunday (which apparently Mrs. Speer will be breaking her eight o'clock curfew to come see). Monday will be... homework day? Well, no, more than likely I'll end up not finishing everything, forcing me to wake at a heinous hour on Tuesday.

Life is good. New things are happening, changes are taking place. But it's bedtime now. Sorry for the relatively pointless entry.

Washington DC was good, though a little boring. I saw some squirrels, the cutest gay couple ever, American University (hated it, icky brown grass), and the massive anti-war protest. Oh, and the Washington Monument, which my dad has dubbed "that pointy building".

And what fun. )
